"ROB, I was in the Monday group at Langara and I must say that your
workshop has to be one of the best I have been to. I went o school to become
and artist and teacher, but since having children I decided that being
at home with them and opening a photography studio was the way to go.
I have since found that my marketing skills are not what they should
be. I come up with ideas, but they never seem to materialize that way
I would like. The funny thing is that I love Snail mail. So, the new
letters and cards are a just a fantastic idea. Just having a quick
look at the material that you put up for us is fantastic. I am looking
forward to joining the forum. It looks great!
I have been working a this for about four years and my biggest problem
has to be the lack of cash for the things I want to do in my studio.
Even with the Epoca albums, it seems like such a small amount, but
with such a young family and the lovely economy, I may not be able to
go a head with it. I am looking forward to doing alot of what you have
put in front of me. Then.... there will not be this issue. Being that
Nanaimo is about the same size as Sudbury, this excites me!! I have
also always had some trouble with pricing. now come the five year plan!!
I am a big believer in visualizing, so I love the idea of the index
cards!!

Rob, I just wanted to thank you again for an amazing workshop in NB! I had a blast and learned so much. So much, that I'm on my way into a 1440sq.ft studio! Renovations start today! The reason that I (or rather we) haven't done it is that we've been busy
learning, adapting and modifying what we've learnt from you into our own
systems - and reaping the benefits. We have an already very profitable business,
but just like you, we constantly need and find inspiration - for the business
and the art side of what we do.
Looking at the video, the thing that struck me was the undoubted quality
of the art work, and the (subtle?) pluck at the heart strings with the words.
This guy was actually selling something that people couldn't even have to
take away with them - unless they had a camera - just how fantastic is that!
As we always say - lets appeal to the heart and minds of nice people.
