To succeed in today's
environment, you need to get and keep the edge and stay competitive,
and I can help you do just that. I am like a trusted coach, a
mentor. Someone who won't spoon-feed you sugarcoated, regurgitated
industry recycled garbage.
One of my biggest
assets is that I have been, and continue to be at this for 30
years now (hey, I know, I look great for an old guy
:)- I like to stay in shape physically and mentally) Every
week I am in my studio, booking, marketing and shooting, day in,day
out, week after week. Babies, families and weddings.
Life is good, and I
am grateful for all that I have. One of my greatest passions is
teaching others, and frankly, I have selfish reasons for doing
so on an on-going basis. I know that when I help others succeed,
I succeed.
I
am not some has-been or industry wash-out looking to make a fast
buck by teaching old, stale, 'yesterday's news', and pass it off
as strategy. I continue, and plan to continue
working as a portrait photographer for many years yet. I love
it! I also love teaching others and the montly newsletter is the
best way I know how to spread myself without putting too many
demands on my time.
I've achieved many
awards and accolades in my industry as well. My proven teaching
experience is vast and continues to grow. Every year I attend
and present at state, provincial
and national conventions. I have been invited
to teach at NSI (Niaga School of Imaging- 5 day
workshop) for a fourth year in a row. Of course,
I've co-founded No Bs Photo Success with James
Hodgins, and have given many, many workshops over the years, including
the now infamous Inferno by the Falls.
But, most of
all, you will find me working in my studio, slugging
it out, day after day, toe-to-toe with real paying clients, successfully
creating, and getting top dollar for the work I produce for them.
Is
it still possible to make huge profits
in photography today?
The cynics would have
you believe otherwise. My studio keeps growing by leaps and bounds,
and the opportunities flow into my life constantly.
I hear from photographers
who've been around, some struggle, some don't. I see photographers
just starting out, some beak out in the lead and do well, others
keep struggling. Don't believe the cynical lies that tell you
things have changed in the photography industry. Old dinosaurs
and has-beens who can't keep up with the demands of staying afloat
in business.
The fact is when you
apply solid marketing and success strategies you will vastly increase
your chances of success. But you need to stay in tough with what
works and what doesn't. Why not learn from someone who's been
there, done that, instead of trying to figure it out the long,
hard, costly way. Genius is learning the mistakes from others.
